IDLEWILD SOUTH Annouces Summer Show Dates

By: Don Eason

IDLEWILD SOUTH, The Allman Brothers Band Tribute, was co-founded by keyboardist and vocalist Don Eason, a veteran musician whose initial influence originated from his first experience seeing The Allman Brothers Band in 1970. A duo of drummers, (including co-founder) Robert Kintner, and John Flowers, provides the foundation with bassist Tim Smith rounding out the rhythm section. Slide Guitarist Dave George and lead guitarist/vocalist Pete Waggoner bring forth the dual guitar harmonies and searing guitar leads that Duane Allman and Dickie Betts pioneered in the late 1960's.

In the tradition of The Allman Brothers Band, IDLEWILD SOUTH's live shows provide audiences with hours of entertainment including a constantly changing set list from The Allman Brothers Band's albums including The Allman Brothers Band, Idlewild South, Live At Fillmore East, Eat A Peach, and Brothers and Sisters. Shows also feature video projections by Jesse C Barnes with videos and pictures reminiscent of the original Joshua Light Show and Brotherhood Of Lights used in the Fillmore East and Fillmore West shows of the 1960's and 1970's.
